Camden and Nene

The Schoenert family began on February 20, 1993, when Mark and Jeanine married.  Each had sons, Travis and Sean, and these two quickly became inseparable brothers.  God then blessed them with the third son, Seth, and their family was complete.

Raising the three boys in La Vernia was a blessing but also challenging at times as there was really not a lot to do around the town for kids.  Because of this, Jeanine always had different ideas floating around in that crazy head of hers, ideas that always focused on families, kids and giving back to the community.

The boys quickly grew up into amazing men, went to college, got jobs, and married the loves of their lives. Travis and Lauren got married in 2010, Sean and Kaycee in 2014, and Seth and Stephanie in 2017.  Then the true blessings and miracles came.... GRANDBABIES!!!!   Camden, Luke, Cohen, Avery, Leah and Lane (and Cole on the way). Who knew a person’s heart could love so very much…but with so much love also comes so much grief.

Camden was the first grandchild of Mark and Jeanine, born in 2013 . At 7 months Camden was diagnosed with a severe heart condition, Obstructive Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM).   The family was determined not to let this diagnosis break them.   This diagnosis didn't slow Camden down at all.  Camden’s heart condition taught them the true value of "live each day to the fullest". If you knew Camden you knew his love for life, learning, laughter and people.  He never met a stranger, and he made sure every person he came into contact with left his presence feeling loved. He lived a life that taught us all the true meaning of love.   He drew it, colored it, wrote it and said it, in everything he did. Man, did he love his parents, brother and cousins, and he definitely loved his Nene!  He taught us all so much.

When we lost our sweet Camden in March 2021, Jeanine realized she needed to channel that love into something great!  That love kicked her dreams into high gear.  She knew this is what the family needed to focus their love for Camden, and their love for each other.  A way to channel their grief and truly something to honor Camden forever--something to make a difference in a child's life. Camden's once wrote "Love can chang the world" and that statement took life and completely sums up our mission statement.

It is because of that love that Jeanine, along with Kaycee and the family, brings you Camden's Adventure Zone. A place where families can come and truly feel loved, learn, play and explore.  It is our hope that this center will bring our community and the surrounding communities together in life and love, just like Camden did.  We are looking to incorporate an indoor play place, party rooms, mini library, and much more. We are very excited about this space and what it means to our family…and we know Camden would absolutely love this!!
